Dept. of Dance The Dept. of Dance was separated from the Dept. of Physical Education in 1998. Since then, the entrance quota of the department was expanded to 40 students and the majors include Korean dance, ballet and modern dance. The Dept. of Dance aims to foster the best dancers who can exert their skills on the domestic and overseas stages after learning the techniques of both traditional dance and the modern dance, creating their own dancing style and practicing on the stage. We develop the greatest potential of students to make them professional dancers needed at the site of dance which is becoming increasingly diverse.

Dept. of Contemporary Music The Dept. of Contemporary Music aims to foster the musicians who can work in various area being equipped with refined abilities rather than simple functions. We are focusing on training students to have musical understanding through theoretical education of Contemporary music including jazz, classical music, etc. and become superior musicians with professionalism and creativity through experience of ensemble including various types of practical education.

Dept. of Model The Dept. of Model at Dongduk Women’s University began with the Major of Model established in 1999 for the first time as a 4-year university in Korea to prepare for the 21st century as a practical university for the training of professional women. The department has received attention from various media and is unrivaled to date among the departments in 4-year universities. Since its establishment in 1999, the department has expanded the concept of model to various fashion and culture industries and public culture and arts areas including broadcasting, newspaper, fashion and arts by developing new curriculum for the training of professional manpower. The distinguished professors of the Dept. of Model train characterful models needed in the 21st century through education combining theoretical study with field practice to produce world-class models and professional leaders.
